Chantal advocates for high quality arts education for all students at the California Alliance for Arts Education. She graduated from UCSB with a double major in Communications and Theater with an emphasis in community theater. Her recent work with the Student Voices Campaign empowers students to use their voice, skills, creativity and heart to advocate for the education they want to see at their schools.
Nicole Zahner (She/They) is a freelance theater artist and digital artist currently working out of Sacramento, CA. As a 2019 graduate of UCSB, Nicole is always delighted for an opportunity to work with and stay connected to other UCSB alumni. They continue to be committed to accessible theater, and they are excited to help make this production reachable for a wide variety of audiences. Nicole hopes that by engaging with the work being done by Messy Theater, others are inspired to explore the creative ways performing artists can utilize alternative platforms to foster a relationship between theater audiences and performers.
Anika Nayak is a freshman at University of Massachusetts Amherst majoring in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. She has been in technical theatre for eight years now. Most recently, Anika has worked in stage management and lighting design. Her credits include Into the Woods Jr., Beauty and the Beast, and Billy Elliot (Wheelock Family Theatre), In the Heights, RENT, and Silent Sky (Highlander Theatre Company). Anika also served as the Technical Director of the Highlander Theatre Company for three years.
Olivia Browne a first year freshmen at Framingham State University, Majoring in Sociology and American Sign Language Deaf Studies and Minoring in Theatre. She has been in technical theatre/stage management since 2014. Past credits in stage management include Into the Woods Jr and Once on this Island (Wheelock Family Theatre), The Lion King Jr, Still Life with Iris, In the Heights, Shrek Jr, Silent Sky, RENT, Pippin, and Bring it On (Highlander Theatre Company). In addition to her stage management work, Olivia has also taught workshops at the SAY Inc Summer Institute in Somerville MA.
Katherine is a Bay Area actress and director, as well as the FutureWorks Fellow at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. She most recently directed Ant Farm for Monday Night PlayGround at Playground SF and 3 plays in the UCSB zoom festival Alone Together. Recent assistant directing credits include: Murder On The Orient Express (Indiana Repertory Theatre) and Ragtime (TheatreWorks Silicon Valley - postponed) and Elocutia Does Pygmalion (UCSB Launch Pad). Katherine graduated from UCSB with a B.A. in English and Theatre (emphasis in directing) and was a directing apprentice at PlayGround SF.
Riya currently works as a Stage Manager at The Hale Center Theater in Utah. In addition to her stage management role, she also works as a theater teacher at Waterford School. She recently completed her Stage Management internship at Orlando Shakespeare Theater. Riya graduated in 2019 with a degree in Theater (emphasis in directing) as well as a degree in linguistics.
Stefan is a first year law student at SJ Quinney College of Law with an extensive theater background. He graduated from UCSB with a degree in theater, emphasizing directing. Past directing credits include The Ballad of 423 and 424, The Thread Men, and The Hedgehog's Dilemma. Most recently he was a directing apprentice for Playground LA and directed in UCSB's "Alone, Together."
Frank works as a professional freelance video editor. He has been editing bonus features for Shout Factory! Blu-rays and DVDs for over 10 years including titles such as Gravity Falls, Pee-Wee's Playhouse, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Power Rangers, Transformers (animated), Teen Wolf, Critters, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Buckaroo Bonzai. He has also edited many award winning short films and web series.
